Statistics: Russia’s inflation slows down to 0.21% Sep 26–Mon
MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation decelerated to 0.21% from September 26 through Monday from 0.28% in the previous week, and reached 4.54% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices increased by 0.2% on average. Tomato prices inflated by 7.9% and banana prices by 2.3%. But the prices for cucumbers fell by 3.6%, for potatoes by 2.3%, for carrots by 1.9%, for apples by 1.5%, for cabbage by 1.4%, for onion by 0.6%, and for beetroot by 0.1%.
Prices for frozen fish, bologna, and sour cream shrank by 0.2% and for tea by 0.1%. Eggs prices rose by 3.15%, poultry prices by 1%, sunflower oil and margarine by 0.6%.
Gasoline prices fell by 0.43% and diesel fuel prices by 0.15%.
